Promoting The Safety, Education, and Enjoyment of the Shooting Sport

The Cresap Rifle Club was established in 1928 to promote the safety,
education, and enjoyment of the shooting sport. Cresap is a private club that is
recognized by the National Rifle Association. We promote the safety of the
shooting sport by offering the Maryland Hunter's Safety Course and
experienced range officers who can teach and advise at our facility. We actively
support our Junior Rifle Team. The Junior Rifle Team is a group of teenagers
that we mentor. The team members are provided with rifles and equipment and
participate in matches. Our ranges are open to the public, year round.
Generally, the range is open both Saturday and Sunday from March to
December and only on Sundays during the remaining months. Our club
operates on your donations, raffles, and the sale of spent brass. We have
pistol, rifle, and black powder shooting positions. The pistol positions have
targets at 10 and 25 yards; the rifle and black powder at 50 and 100 yards.
Additionally, one rifle position is dedicated for sighting in; the target at this
position is at 25 yards.
